Mario Badescu Drying Lotion Dupe (Bye Bye Blemish Drying Lotion)

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion ($17-20)

Very well known throughout the beauty community as a fast acne/blemish vanishing treatment.  It is a pink sulfur type treatment that sits at the bottom of the small bottle with clear liquid that floats above.  You aren't supposed to ever shake or tilt the bottle (pink and clear aren't suppose to mix).  And you are supposed to use a Q-tip and place it towards the bottom of the bottle and pick up a small amount of the pink drying lotion and place it on your pimple/ blemish.  By the next morning your bump will either come to a head or completely dry out and vanish.  It can cause excessive drying but is great as a spot treatment, but not an all over face treatment.  I have never used it but I completely understand how it works because I have been using its dupe for many years now.

Bye Bye Blemish Drying Lotion ($9-11)

Works exactly the same way, and looks exactly the same.  It also contains many of the same active drying agents that Mario Badescu contains which includes: Isopropyl Alcohol, Camphor, Water, and Salicylic Acid.
This one is only half the price and is sold at Rite Aid!!!!  Works amazingly well for deminishing large blemishes.

Nudey/Tanish/Brown (AMPLIFIED CREME)-- Creme Hard to pull of regardless of skintone. May be better for darker toned skin.  Lipliner is a MUST.  This liplass looks insanely good over this lipstick as well as every other lipstick you may have.

Purpley/Pink (AMPLIFIED CREME)-- I have never heard anyone say they dont like this color, matter of fact everyone seems to love it.  This color makes your teeth look brighter and whiter. It is a great bold lip for all skintones

Nudey/Pinky/Mauve (AMPLIFIED CREME) --- great nude lip for lighter skintones, also great for darker skintones used along with a lipliner.  A great natural color.

I had surgery over a week ago and I have been taking forever to heal so this weekend I tried to go out shopping and that was a fail.  I was in pain and bleeding so I realized that I had to do the rest of my shopping online.

After this I plan to start saving so I can take a vacation in May for my birthday, I spent way to much!!!!!!
Lastly I also bought a beauty storage set from Target to add to the organizers I already have in my room.

The 2 piece Storage set on the left is the one I bought over the weekend. I think both pieces were about $45.  The one on the right I bought from Walmart for about $30 a couple of months ago.

Sally Hansen Star Opal Nail Glaze (Red Opal)
- I really liked the consistency, the color not so much, drying time was very very quick, I always love my Sally Hansen nail polishes
- I like the glaze effect because it gives a very slight, translucent pop of color

So I used this polish as my base and then added designs to the tips of my nails.  I am thoroughly surprised at how my nails came out because I really didn't plan on doing all of this.  I just started painting diagonal lines on the tips of my nails very quickly and before I knew it, I had a nice quick design.  I was doing my nails while typing up an essay exam so I wasn't paying much time or attention to my nails.

Lamont Girl -- Freetress Band Fullcap Wig 1B/33/130

I love this wig, I love it even more once I cut some bangs into it.  The side swept bangs did nothing for my long facial structure. So I cut some blunt bangs into her. But only problem....The color :(  Why does it have to be so bright and orange looking.  I kinda knew that would happen, synthetic wigs in lighter colors typically look fake and shiny.  But I wanted to see for myself.  I have not given up on blonde and synthetic though.  There is one more wig I plan on purchasing in blonde that is synthetic, it might be a lacefront, I dont remember.  We will see how the color looks on that one.  Back to Lamont Girl, she is very long, has 2 combs one in the front and one in the back, adjustable traps (which I never use), and a nice curl pattern.  The hair is not as soft as I would like, nor is it as thick as I would like.  You can see the tracks in the back if you are not careful, so be aware of that.  Other then all of that, I do like her.  And will wear the shiny, bright, plastic mess out ha ha.

The only thing I do not like about this sparkly polish is very few sparkles stay on the brush once you remove it from the bottle.  You have to keep dipping it back in the polish to get more sparkles.

My Review:
This is a product that I just tried and can review right away.  Its not like the other products where I have to try it for about a month before I can truly know if it works for me.  And this is what I think:  I love the packaging, I love the consistency (non sticky), I love the Twinkling shade but not the Luminous shade, I love the way it brightens my smile, all around great product if you get it in a shade that you like!!!!!

My review so far:
I have already been using this for a week and I can already tell I do not like it.  It is very moisturizing which is great but the smell really gets to me.  I can not stand things that have a strong scent on my face.  Not to mention the scent is a smell I do not like.  It smells like cinnamon, I do not want that smell on my face.  The smell just ruins it for me.  I have been breaking out again lately but I can not tell yet if this is the culprit.  I have heard so many great things about the Yes products so I am going to continue to try it a bit longer.

Product Claims:
Biotin is essential to skin, nail, and hair health.  In addition, Biotin is essential for the intermediate metabolism of carbohydrates, protein, and fats. 

My review so far:
I love that the vitamin pills are small and round.  Very easy to swallow.  I like that I only have to take one a day.  Whether it works or not I am not sure yet because I have no used it long enough.  I used to take prenatal vitamin capsules which I think worked great for my hair and nails.  But I wanted to try something different because I wanted something that would help my skin more.  So we will see.

Wet N Wild 505A Light Berry Frost Lipstick

I bought this lipstick so long ago, did a blog post about it stating I would never wear this color out, but I am at the point where I now want to.  It is so bold and beautiful to me, yet very intimidating to wear because of its boldness and brightness.  I have no problem wearing lighter pinks/nudes and dark colors, but this color is in its own catergory.  Its super bright yet still a darker pink and it scares me for some reason.  I might have wore it once around my Husboo and he said he didn't like it, so that makes me even more weary about wearing it.  What do you think????  I think I might wear it in a video that I plan on recording tommorow, something about seeing makeup in a video really shows you its full effect and helps me make up my mind on whether I like it or not.

UPDATE: Makeup Forever High Definition Powder and How to Prevent the White Cast

I am so happy I have now finally figured out an application process that prevents the white cast of the Makeup Forever High Definition Powder.  I have been using it for 2 weeks now, and I am not going to lie, at first I thought that it was non-preventable becuase no matter how light I was with it......it was still looking beyond ashy.  But I finally figured it out.  At first I was applying it with the Elf Professional all over face powder brush. Very first time I did it with a heavy hand, but that was before I knew about the white cast.  Mistake #1.  Then I applied it lightly with the same brush, still did not work.  Mistake #2.  Both the application and the brush was wrong.  I then began using a flat top face brush (brand unknown).  Using that I lightly stippled it into the powder then stippled it on my cheeks, chin, nose, and forehead.  Then I would buff that out well.  Then I repeated that once more all over my face.  Two light coats buffed out well would work perfectly.  The only part of my face that I would do a third coat on was my nose because that tends to get really oily.  In the end, there was no white cast, the makeup looked well blended, and flawless.  I topped that off with the Makeup Forever Mist & Fix.  I was then ready and out the door.

This is the first time I have ever tried Revlon lipsticks let alone this line of lipsticks (Super Lustrous). I use to only be a colored lipgloss girl until I realized how good lip glosses look with lipstick underneath.  I would say they are def comparable to Mac lustre lipsticks.  Color payoff and texture is very similar. Because of the consistency and shine the colors aren't as deep or dark when you apply them, you may have to apply 2 plus coats to get a better color pay off.  But the shine allows you to go without lip gloss and they are very moisturizing. I actually like the Revlon packaging better, the black and gold packaging is very classy and sleek.  I really love the colors I choose, especially the purple and peach tone because I have no other lipsticks comparable to those colors.  I actually went seeking the tone In the Buff because I saw an advertisement with Halle Berry wearing it....which was a peach tone....but I did not find it.  It was ok though, because Peach Me looked alot like it.  I would definitely say you should try these in any tone that interests you.

I just bought these yesterday from Marshalls for only $25.  I have been wanting to find some wedges, they are not exactly what I was looking for because I wanted ones without laces.  But I think these are great for the price so I could not pass them up.  Can't wait to wear them.  They are true to size!
